Specht in de tuin

Al een paar dagen horen we gek getwiet en opmerkelijk hard gerammel. Wat blijkt? Er zit een specht in onze Amsterdamse binnentuin!

For those of you who did not know already: we have a little one coming our way! At the moment we are in the 21st week of pregnancy and: so far… so good! We'll keep you posted…

Obsidian signs with CANDLELIGHT records!

We are proud and very excited to inform you that we have inked a deal with CANDLELIGHT RECORDS for our upcoming album! The new album will be released early in 2010 and it will contain 9 new brutal and grooving tracks, revealing a more evolved Obsidian. Also it will feature beautiful artwork by Robbe K. Connecting with Cynic

After a succesful and fun show with Dosa Jhana opening up for Cynic, we had ample time to connect with the guys! And so I got the chance to add another picture with one of my Greatest Drum Rolemodels Of All Time: Sean Reinert!
All in all it was sort of a life altering experience: I really felt opened up music-wise and I received so much inspiration, it really affected my playing. Just like 15 years of listening to one CD and trying to figure out what they actually are doing…
