Wie heeft er nog  een exotische bestemming nodig met dit soort uitzichten op je balkon? Zuid-Frankrijk in de Baarsjes…

After a year of hard work it's finally time to take a break! Well, at least a little one. All the time off I have right now will be devoted to preparing for the upcoming recording session in August. All the nine brand new tracks are finished and I spend a lot of time listening and re-listening and playing along with my clicktrack just to be as prepared as I can.

One of the funny things I noticed with the tracks of the new album is that they really tend to stick in my head: after practicing for an hour some of the melody's just keep spinning around my inner ear. Maybe we actually did listen a bit too much Britney Spears during the writing process…

All jokes aside: the coming album will be an absolute killer, very experimental and containing some of the most solid grooves I ever played, so you can probably understand that I am absolutely psyched to get into the studio!

Just a bit of waiting, practising (and camping!) to do. In the meanwhile Sjaak and I are precision-working on all the tricky parts and crazy fills: brilliant stuff just keeps popping up, so there will be plenty material to work with.
